Refund Policy
Last updated: 26 April 2026 · Working draft, formal review pending
The short version
GoldMind is a solo-built app. We treat refunds the way we'd want to be treated. If something went wrong on our side or yours, email us and we'll sort it out fairly.
- Charged after forgetting to cancel a trial — refund.
- Bought a tier whose advertised feature isn't built yet — refund.
- Standard Australian Consumer Law applies regardless — including the right to a refund within 30 days of purchase if the product doesn't do what we said it does.
Lifetime ($149 one-time)
30-day refund window, no questions asked.Email us within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund the full $149 to your original payment method, usually within 5 business days.
After 30 days, refunds are considered case-by-case under the same “reasonable terms” rule above (e.g. a feature listed on your tier turned out to be unavailable for an extended period).
Annual ($99/yr entry offer · $149/yr full)
7-day free trial with no credit card. After the trial, your card is charged annually until you cancel.
You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the current billing period. We don't pro-rate unused months by default, but if you cancel within 30 days of an annual renewal and didn't mean to renew — email us and we'll sort out a fair refund.
Monthly ($9.99/mo entry offer · $14.99/mo full)
7-day free trial with no credit card. After the trial, your card is charged monthly until you cancel.
You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the current billing period. We don't pro-rate partial months by default, but if you were charged after meaning to cancel — email us and we'll refund that month.
App Store purchases (when iOS launches)
Purchases made through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple and follow Apple's refund policy. We can't directly issue refunds for App Store charges — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple declines and you believe the charge was unfair, email us and we'll do what we can to help.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to direct purchases on the GoldMind website and to subscriptions managed through your GoldMind account. App Store purchases follow the section above. Gifted subscriptions, promo credits, and any third-party reseller purchases are refunded under the terms of the original purchase channel, not this page.
When a refund won't be issued
We reserve the right to decline a refund where, on reasonable grounds, we believe:
- The request is the result of fraud, attempted chargeback gaming, or breach of these terms.
- The account has been used to abuse or harass others, or to circumvent paywalls or trial limits.
- The same buyer has previously claimed and received refunds for the same product or service.
- The request is made well outside the windows above and no “reasonable terms” basis applies.
None of the above limits your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law (next section).
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits the consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). If GoldMind has a major failure (for example it doesn't do what we said it does) you're entitled to a refund or a replacement, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
If we don't agree
If you ask for a refund and we decline, we'll tell you why in writing. You can:
- Reply to our response with new information for re-review.
- Lodge a dispute with your card issuer or bank.
- Raise a complaint with the ACCC (accc.gov.au) or the consumer-affairs body in your state.
- Refer the matter to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) for residents of Victoria, or the equivalent body in your state.
We don't want this to happen and prefer to resolve disputes directly. Email first.
Severability and changes
If any part of this policy is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the policy still applies. We may update this page from time to time; material changes are dated at the top, and the version current at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
This policy is governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
