SAME

the money game we all lose

A party game about the money moves we all make. Sixteen cards, sixteen real biases, no judgement.

First run is small. Waitlist gets first pick.

What it is

Someone reads a card. You tap the table.

SAME is a card game about the small, silly things we all do with money. Someone reads a card out loud. If it's you too, you tap the table. Flat hand up if it isn't.

Behind every card is a real behavioural bias, the same sixteen GoldMind is built on.

The only rule is that you can only ever call yourself out, never anyone else.

Nobody gets lectured. You don’t study, you laugh, and you end up a little more aware anyway.

A taste of the deck

Four of the sixteen.

Fronts carry the roast only. The bias name lives on the reader’s answer sheet, so nothing spoils.

Payday hit. I bought a rice cooker.

I don't have rice.

It's only $4 a day. I did not multiply.

$4 a day is $1,460 a year.

Had one good month and immediately started

describing myself as good with money.

Didn't check the cupboard. I was sure.

That's four jars of capers I've now paid for.

How it plays

Three moves, no score.

1

Read

One person reads a card out loud.

That’s the whole setup.

2

Tap in

If it’s you too, tap the table.

If it honestly isn’t, flat hand up.

You only ever call yourself.

3

Name it

Guess which bias is running from the menu in the middle.

Often more than one fits.

Nobody keeps score.
